The historic Iron Horse Music Hall is a unique and versatile event space. The Iron Horse is ideal for a variety of private functions, including concerts, parties, corporate events, fundraisers, and more. Capacity: 180-275 guests.

Historic Atmosphere: The Iron Horse is the site of thousands of legendary concerts and is well-known for its intimate setting and classic charm. The space features rough-sawn beams, newly-refinished floors, and music memorabilia lining the walls.  

Capacity: The venue comfortably accommodates approximately 180 seated guests or up to 275 standing guests for a flexible experience that can adapt to your needs. 

Stage and sound: Equipped with a professional stage and state-of-the-art sound and lighting, the Iron Horse is perfect for live music performances, presentations, or any event requiring A/V capabilities. Our in-house crew will work with you to manage any technical needs. Additional fees may apply. 

Full Bar: The venue’s newly-built full bar features decorative details created by local artisans. The bar menu can be customized to suit your event needs, whether you’re envisioning an open bar, a cash bar, or a signature cocktail.

Catering Options: Our world-class chef O’Brian Tomalin and our catering team offer a wide range of food options that can often be customized to meet your needs. 

Location: Situated in the heart of downtown Northampton, the Iron Horse is in range of several parking options, and accommodations for out-of-town guests. 

About the space: The Iron Horse Music Hall is approximately 5,000 square feet. This space includes the main seating area, stage, bar, and basement green room space, making it suitable for various event configurations, including seated dinners, dance parties, mixers, or cocktail-style gatherings.

Customization and flexibility:

• Flexible layout: The venue allows for a range of seating arrangements and decor setups to tailor the space to your event's theme and needs. 

• Customization: Available for daytime, evening, and late-night events, with flexible hours depending on your booking. 

• Accessibility: The Iron Horse features accessible restrooms and entries on the same level as one side of the room. The floor in front of the stage is accessed by one step. The stage itself is accessed via three steps with no handrail, and the basement green room is accessed via a flight of steps with a handrail. 

Rental rates and discounts:

• Variable rates: Rental fees vary based on the day of the week, time of day, and how far in advance you book. Rates are higher for peak days like Friday and Saturday evenings, and lower for weekdays and daytime events.

• Discounts: Special discounts are often available for bookings made on certain holiday weekends and for bookings made less than eight weeks in advance.
