GENERAL MANAGER
The Iron Horse is seeking a General Manager. The candidate should have an extensive management background in hospitality, preferably in a high volume bar and / or night club. Budgeting, labor control, system creation, and the ability to manage a large team should be second nature. We are looking for a person who can be a steward for the mission of Iron Horse and can cultivate relationships with the artists, patrons, and staff to create a welcoming environment that folks want to return to again and again.
The GM is wholly responsible for the day to day operations of The Iron Horse. This includes staffing, budget, administration, quality control, and artist hospitality.
Oversight on All Bar / Operational Budgeting, Cost of Goods, and Pricing Evolution.
Hiring and Training Management/Delegation of all FOH staff, including Bartenders, Bar Backs, Food Runners, Floor Attendants, Admission, and Porter.
Maintain Ordering Spreadsheets
Maintain all Purveyor Accounts and Ordering of Bar and FOH products
Create and Maintain Opening and Closing Checklists for All Staff
Maintain all Regulatory and Permitting Documentation i.e., Licensing, staff TIPS Certificates, Crowd Manager Binder, etc.,
Maintain all Business Information & Web Listings (i.e., Yelp, Google, etc.,)
Manage the Overall State of Facility Wellness, Cleanliness, and Order
Organize and Run Daily / Weekly Staff Meetings.
Coordinate all Artist Hospitality
Assist in Profit & Loss Analysis and Work to Constantly Evolve Pricing, Ordering, and Procedures.
Design and Maintain Required Safety Procedures and Checklists for Fire and Building Department Inspections
Work Closely with The Chef to Manage Dining Room Flow and Timing.
Labor Cost Control and Management
Maintain Customer Relationships and Feedback / Field General Business Inquiries
Work Closely with Consultant on Menu Development, Evolution, and Consistency

2. EXECUTIVE CHEF
The Iron Horse is seeking an Executive Chef. The candidate should have an extensive kitchen management background in scratch kitchens, ideally in an independent restaurant. The chef will work closely with The Iron Horse consulting team to create and maintain a small, well executed menu. The candidate should be able to train and mentor all experience levels and handle a wide variety of administrative tasks.
The Chef is wholly responsible for the day to day operations of the Iron Horse Kitchen. This includes staffing, budget, administration, quality control, and nightly service.
Oversight on All Food Budgeting, Cost of Goods, and Pricing Evolution.
Hiring and Training Management of All BOH Staff Including Cooks, Dishwashers, Food Runners, and Porters.

Recipe Documentation
Work Closely with Local Farms and Cultivate Relationships to Maintain a Menu That is Always Noting Seasonal Changes
Maintain Weekly / Monthly Inventory Counts

3. LEAD BARTENDER
The Iron Horse is Seeking a Lead Bartender. The candidate should have at least 3 years of high volume bar experience. You should have a wealth of craft beer, wine, and spirit knowledge and be able to be the voice of our bar program on a nightly basis. Must be comfortable with light management, inventory, and cost monitoring but most of all, know how to pour a drink and be a welcoming, trusted face.
Responsible for the General Order and Cleanliness of the Bar, Liquor Closet, and Bar Walk-In
Management of Day to Day Bar Prep and Quality Control
Maintain and Rotate all Kegs and Inventory
Follow all Recipe Guidelines for Draft Cocktails with Daily Quality Checks
Work Closely with GM to Follow Cost Of Good Guidelines and Sideline Waste
Fill out Daily / Weekly Inventory Sheets
Monitor Opening and Closing Task Sheets for Bartenders and Bar Backs

4. LINE COOKS / PREP COOKS
The Iron Horse is Seeking Line & Prep Cooks. Interested candidates should have a minimum of 3 years of professional cooking experience and be comfortable with all the general fundamentals. You should have your own knives and tools and know how to stay organized and work cleanly. You will be working with a small, concise menu with a big focus on seasonality and technique. We want to make thoughtful and exciting food, so we’re more interested in ambition and attention to detail than anything else.
We have both full and part time Line and Prep positions available with a flexible schedule.

5. FOOD RUNNER / BUSSER
The Iron Horse is seeking Food Runners and FOH personnel. Food Runners & Bussers are responsible for running food from the kitchen to patrons in a busy, fast paced live music environment. You must know how to move quickly on the floor and keep things clean, organized, and make sure guests needs are attended to. Ideally candidates should have bar or restaurant background, but all levels of experience are welcome.

6. PORTER
The Iron Horse is seeking an Overnight Porter / Cleaning Person. The candidate should be highly experienced in cleaning and janitorial work, preferably in the hospitality industry. You will be working in the overnight hours to assure that the venue is clean, organized, and reset for the following day. Job duties include, but are not limited to:
Sweeping / Mopping
Restroom and Basic Janitorial Needs
Bar & Kitchen Surface Cleaning
Taking out Garbage & Recycling
Dishwashing
Restocking Inventory
